Cognitive Processing
Therapy

Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) is a treatment that is used for PTSD and related conditions. It is a short-term therapy which usually requires weekly or twice weekly sessions. CPT helps you look at the impact a traumatic event has had on your life and works to change unhelpful thoughts and feelings related to the event. The treatment will help you be able to address thoughts that may have you "stuck" and prevent  you from recovering from your PTSD symptoms. CPT is an evidenced-based practice that has been shown to help diverse populations with different types of trauma.
